Schoolchildren of Kurgan became participants of the project “Let's walk along the roads of war...”

April 9, 2019 the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Research Library in the framework of cooperation with the Presidential Library launched the project “Let's walk along the roads of war...” dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

Senior pupils of the school № 29 learned new facts about the wartime, recalled the main dates and events of those years. The children were told about the exploits of their fellow countrymen on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War, about the hero cities, about weapons, without which victory over Nazi Germany would be impossible, and about many other things.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Kurgan Region: Pages of History collection. It includes studies, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic and photographic materials of the XIX - early XXI centuries, describing the administrative, socio-economic, geographical position of Kurgan and Shadrinsk counties, the territory of which forms the basis of the modern Kurgan region.
