The meeting of the historical club "Chronicle of the war years" held in Tashkent

April 8, 2019 the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of the historical club "Chronicle of the war years". The event was attended by members of the historical club at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Tashkent, students of schools, colleges, lyceums of Tashkent and Tashkent Region, course participants at the RCSC, representatives of Russian universities.

The presentation about the heroism and courage of the peoples of the Soviet Union during World War II and the cultural impact of campaign posters on raising the military spirit of the population were considered. Special attention was paid to military posters created in Uzbekistan.

The event participants also watched a documentary film about artists and peculiarities of creating military posters during the Great Patriotic War, visited the presentation of an exhibition of documentary photographs of 1941-1944.

The Presidential Library’s portal features collection “The Memory of the Great Victory”, which includes official documents, photographs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of combatants and workers in the rear, their personal documents, images of military and labor awards, monuments and memorial complexes.
