Chelyabinsk’s youth learned about Presidential Library’s resources

On April 9, 2019 the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library, on the basis of which the Chelyabinsk Regional Center of Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library operates, hosted a meeting of the club “We Are the Politics of the Future”. The event was attended by students of the South Ural Multi-Profile College, the South Urals State College, members of the Youth Election Commission of Chelyabinsk Region.

During the meeting, an Agreement on cooperation and collaboration between the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library and the Election Commission of Chelyabinsk Region was signed. The document is focused on mutual interest and cooperation, ensuring maximum access to legal information, increasing the level of legal culture of the population in the field of electoral rights.

Specialists of the Chelyabinsk Regional Center of Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library introduced the guests to the unique electronic collection “The Electoral System in Russia: Past and Present” available on the Presidential Library’s portal., The meeting participants watched a documentary film of the Presidential Library “ABC of a Voter”, which tells about the history of the emergence and development of electoral law in Russia.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to “Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History” collection. It includes official documents, archival materials, studies, essays, statistical, graphic, cartographic and other materials covering the administrative structure, geographical location, demographic, economic, socio-political, socio-cultural and other aspects of the development of this territory.
