The best "Pilots of the Internet" identified among Kemerovo students

April 11, 2019 in the electronic reading room of the Kemerovo Regional Center of the Presidential Library, based on the Fedorov Kemerovo Regional Research Library, was held a competition for the professional search on the Internet "The Pilots of the Internet".

The competition is held annually among first-year students of the Kobzon Kemerovo Regional College of Culture and Arts, the Kemerovo Technical College of Minerals and Kemerovo State Institute of Culture. The speed and quality of the search was taken into account when summing up. The jury consisted of teachers of educational institutions whose teams participated in the competition.

This time the competition was dedicated to the Year of the Theater and the Day of Cosmonautics. Answers to the questions needed to be found using the resources of the portal and the electronic reading room of the Presidential Library, as well as the resources of the Kemerovo Library.

The best specialists in the field of information search on the Internet were participants from the team of the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture.

The main result of the competition was that students not only demonstrated their knowledge and skills, but also more deeply learned about the unique electronic collections of libraries.

The collection “Kemerovo Region: Pages of History” has been formed on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes research, statistical materials and archival documents of the second half of the XIX - early XX century, which feature the administrative, socio-economic, demographic and ethnographic position of the Mariinsky and Kuznetsk districts, the territory of which forms the basis of modern Kemerovo Region.
