The Presidential Library has been congratulated by Mikhail Shvydkoy and other dignitaries on the anniversary

Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on International Cultural Cooperation, Co-Chairman of the Board of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States, Mikhail Shvydkoy, called the Presidential Library a unique institution.

“I would even call it a wide cultural institution. This is not just a library, it is a wonderful information center, which has branches throughout the world. Many countries are trying to open branches of the Presidential Library. Because access to those unique documents that you keep in electronic form is needed by all major cultural institutions and state institutions of the world”, - he said.

Mikhail Shvydkoy became one of the participants of the campaign “Congratulate the Presidential Library!” dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the institution. Congratulations in the form of short videos are sent to the Presidential Library by many people.

Thus, congratulation from the Honored Art Worker of Russia, a member of the Cinematographers Union and the Union of Journalists of Russia Temina Tuaeva were published on social networks. She called the Presidential Library’s specialists an example of a delicate and respectful attitude towards its readers.

Chairman of the Committee on Physical Culture and Sports of St. Petersburg, Russian athlete, multiple world and European champion, Olympic champion Natalya Antyukh in her congratulation against the background of the conference hall of the Presidential Library said that the institution also deals with sports. “It hosted conferences, meetings, presentations dedicated to the 2014 Olympic Games and the 2018 World Cup”, - she recalled.

St. Petersburg public organization of disabled people “Down Center” unites families included children and adults with Down syndrome. In their video, the guys shouted: “Congratulations to the Presidential Library!”

The wards of the Siverskaya boarding school told that the Presidential Library acts “goody, significantly, super cool, prestigiously, universally, worthy, massively...”.

Human rights activist and journalist Eva Merkacheva recalled that books - children of the mind and books - intertwined people. On the eve of the anniversary of the library, she wished everyone to read more.

On the eve of the anniversary the campaign “Congratulate the Presidential Library!” has been launched on the institution's portal. It is livestreamed in the official groups of the institution in the social networks.
