The screening of film-winners of the festival "Break to the Cinema" about the Great Patriotic War held in Budapest

Within the framework of the Victory Day events, on May 6, the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Budapest hosted a screening of film-winners of the youth film festival of the short film about the Great Patriotic War “Break to the Cinema”.

The festival’s organizers - representatives of the St. Petersburg Foundation for Population Support "Bridge of Generations" - told about the organization, one of the main activities of which is to familiarize young people with the history of World War II and the contribution of the Soviet people to the victory over fascism.

The film program includes films by Russian, Belarusian and Uzbek authors, both professional directors and amateurs.

Since 2010, the Presidential Library has been forming an electronic collection dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War “Memory of the Great Victory”. It includes official documents, photographs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, testimonies of participants in combat battles and rear workers, their personal documents, images of military and labor awards, monuments and memorial complexes.

The Presidential Library’s portal in the section “Collections - Russia and countries of the world” features the collection “Russia - Hungary: the History of Relations”. It includes legislative acts, official documents and other materials characterizing the administrative-state and economic structure of Hungary (including during its stay in the Austro-Hungarian Empire), as well as certain aspects of its relations with Russia.
