Schoolchildren of St. Petersburg presented their creative projects in the Presidential Library
The Presidential Library hosted the final event “Talents and Fans”, ended the final cycle of educational and game programs for gifted children КЛЕVER, organized by the House of Children's Art “Youth” of the Vyborg district of St. Petersburg.
At the final stage of the contest of young encyclopedists, the participants had to present to the attention of the competent jury, consisting of representatives of universities - partners of the contest, their creative projects on a variety of topics. So, Maria Mishchenko from school № 482 chose the development of local self-government. Her story about the history of formation and the present day of the municipality in which she lives and studies, won the second place.
The best members of the jury recognized the performance of Elizaveta Novichkova from gymnasium № 107, who spoke about her project of promotion of ecological awareness for schoolchildren, which is aimed at combating household waste, and the problem of separate garbage collection. The girl gave thematic lessons and a master class for eighth-graders, on making fashionable bags from plastic bags prepared and placed posters at the school explaining the harm to nature from badly decomposing garbage and explaining how to deal with it.
It is worth noting that Elizaveta Novichkova also became the winner according to the results of the entire КЛЕVER cycle, which consisted of five stages, each of which was dedicated to a specific field of knowledge.
The cycle of cognitive-game programs for gifted children КЛЕVER, which was held for the first time, will be annual. This was decided at a round table meeting that brought together teachers and representatives of universities, on the basis of which the previous stages were held (North-West Institute of Management, RANEPA, St. Petersburg State Technological Institute and the Higher School of Press and Media Technologies SPbSTDD). Moreover, thanks to this project, high school students can assess their knowledge not in one, but in several areas at once within the walls of specialized universities, which helps to determine the further choice of profession.
The House of Children's Art "Youth" of the Vyborgsky District of St. Petersburg is a regular partner of the Presidential Library. Only in 2018, on Senate Square, 3, the organizations held joint events such as the seventh stage of the city contest “Journalist Marathon” among the editorial boards of school media in St. Petersburg and the business game for senior pupils “Your Choice” dedicated to electoral law and dedicated to the election of the President of Russia.
