The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Helsinki provides the exhibition “Russia’s heart will never forget...”
June 11, 2019 the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Helsinki hosted the grand opening of the exhibition "Russia’s heart will never forget...", dedicated to the 220th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin and the 140th anniversary of the first Pushkin Museum of Russia.
S. V. Malyshev, the head of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Finland, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech: “Every age has his own Pushkin, because life we understand and attain not immediately, but gradually. Pushkin is the most real living life, only imprinted in the word”. S. V. Malyshev presented the Deputy Director of the Pushkin All-Russian Museum, Jan Ponomarev, who came from St. Petersburg to open the exhibition and conduct a tour for the first visitors.
The guests of the exhibition got familiar with the main periods of the poet's life and got an idea about the rarities kept in the Pushkin All-Russian Museum. The exhibition will run until June 30.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the electronic collection “Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837)”. It includes digital copies of books, articles, archival documents, dissertation abstracts, video films, graphic and other materials devoted to the poet’s life and work in preserving the memory of him. Among the materials of the collection is a digital copy of the Diploma granted by Emperor Alexander I to the Imperial Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, where Pushkin studied.
