The grand opening of the painting exhibition “Through hardships to the stars”, timed to the Day of Memory and Grief, took place in the Brest Fortress in the exhibition hall at the Kholm Gate.

The project has been organized by the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brest with the assistance of the administration of the memorial complex and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Brest. The author of the exposition presented is Marina Anokhina (Praded) - a native of the Belarusian capital, a graduate of the gymnasium-college of arts complex in Minsk and the Repin St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, who now lives and works in city on the Neva River and is a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation and the Russian Association of Marine Painters.

The date and place of the exhibition were not chosen by chance. The works presented by the author are united by the theme of the Great Patriotic War.

The event was attended by residents and guests of Brest, representatives of diplomatic missions and the media.
