International project “The Youth of Russia and China Together Has Made Friendship for 70 years”

July 1, 2019, a new project was created at the headquarters of the Chinese People’s Society: “The Youth of Russia and China Together Has Made Friendship for 70 Years”.

The organizers of the congress with the support of China Central Television (CCTV) are Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Friendship Society, Liaoning Province, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Sichuan and Guangdong.

Within the framework of the project, groups of young people from Russia and China take part in consultations of specialists from our countries in the provinces of Jilin and Zhoujiang, where young people and other joint events take part.

The head of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing, Counselor of the Russian Embassy in the People's Republic of China Olga Melnikova, in her speech at the opening ceremony, highly appreciated the importance of youth exchanges for strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two countries. She stressed that cooperation in this area should be new and promising.

The Deputy Chairman of the KNODZ also reported that the exchange of views between citizens and takes place in the economic, political and humanitarian aspects of bilateral interaction.

The Presidential Library’s portal features “Russia - China: History of Relationships” collection, which presents digital copies of documents of various types (books, archival, graphic, cartographic materials) reflecting the history of relations between Russia and its major partners in the Far East - China.
