"The Golden Age of Russian Weapons and Russian Military Glory" exhibition held in Penza

The Penza Regional Center of Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library opened the book exhibition “The Golden Age of Russian Weapons and Russian Military Glory”. The exposition is dedicated to the anniversary of the victory of the Russian army in the Battle of Poltava, the victory of the Russian fleet at Cape Gangut and the feat of the Russian troops under the command of A. V. Suvorov in the Swiss campaign through the Alps.

The exposition, prepared by specialists of the electronic reading room, includes not only scientific and popular books, but also periodical materials. These are articles from such magazines as Rodina (Motherland), Voenno-Istorichesky Jurnal (Military-Historical Journal),Voprosy po Istorii (Issues of History), Svobodnaya Mysl’ (Free Thought).

The guests of the regional center also presented a presentation of the resources of the Presidential Library, which included books by V. F. Golovachev, A. G. Brickner, G. P. Danilevsky and others. The materials focus on the war between Russia and Sweden in 1788–1790, the Battle of Poltava, the victory of the Russian fleet at Cape Gangut, the great Russian commander A. V. Suvorov.

The Presidential Library’s portal features “Penza Region: Pages of History” collection. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials covering demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region of the late 18th - first third of the 20th century as well as the current Charter of Penza Region.
