The opening ceremony of the exhibition of paintings by Russian and Chinese artists was held at the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Olga Melnikova, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in the PRC, noted that the interaction between Russia and China today was at a high level. She thanked the Russian artists N. V. Erochkina and I. V. Demchenkov, as well as the Chinese painter Ke Jiangdong for their contribution to the development of comprehensive humanitarian cooperation and cultural exchanges.

The history of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia is available in the library of the RCC in Beijing, where since 2010 a center of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library has been opened. Also, guests of the RCC have the opportunity to look through materials of electronic collections dedicated to famous Russian artists of different eras (Ilya Repin, Ivan Bilibin and others).
