The Day of Solidarity in the Fight Against Terror held in Kurgan

September 3, 2019 the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Research Library hosted the campaign "Terrorism - a real threat to humanity" marking the Day of Solidarity in the Fight Against Terror. Employees of Yugovka came outside in order to recall the tragic events of 2004, when the terrorists seized school № 1 in Beslan in North Ossetia together with the Trans-Urals residents.

All the participants in the campaign received instructions on how to behave when threatened with a terrorist act, as well as white balloons that were released into the sky in memory of the victims.

The collection "Kurgan Region: Pages of History" is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes studies, essays, archival documents, maps and photographs of the 19th - early 21st centuries, which spotlight the administrative, socio-economic, geographical situation of Kurgan and Shadrinsk provinces, the territory of which forms modern Kurgan Region.
