School museums of the city of Kemerovo to join the Family Chronicle of War project

A meeting of the heads of city school museums was held in Kemerovo on September 5, 2019. In the course of the event, employees of the Kemerovo Regional Center of the Presidential Library discussed the electronic collection “Family Chronicle of War”, the work on which began in 2015, the year of the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

War veterans and home front workers, as well as their relatives, who want to pay tribute to the older generation in this way, take part in the project.

In the Year of Memory and Glory, announced by the President of Russia marking the 75th anniversary of the Victory, the Family Chronicle of War project received support from school museums.

“Kemerovo Region: Pages of History” is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes studies, statistical materials and archival documents of the second half of the XIX - early XX centuries, which spotlight the administrative, socio-economic, demographic and ethnographic position of the Mariinsky and Kuznetsk counties, the territory of which forms the basis of the modern Kemerovo Rgion.
