Russia in the Electronic World Olympiad in Simferopol

The educational project Russia in the Electronic World was presented on September 24, 2019 in the Regional Center of Access to the Presidential Library’s Resources in the Franko Crimean Republican Research Library. This is the annual project of the Presidential Library, which has been running for 10 years.

Specialists of the Regional Department told tenth- and eleventh-graders of secondary schools No. 25 and No. 27 of Simferopol about the rules of the Olympiad. The contest consists of three stages: two of them are held online. Those, who reach the third final stage, gather in the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg and in remote centers in other regions of the Russian Federation.

In addition, specialists of the Crimean Regional Center spoke about the features of the Presidential Library’s portal, its electronic content, educational projects aimed at attracting interest in the history of Russia among the modern youth.

The collection The Republic of Crimea: Pages of History is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. The collection features studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and other materials, which spotlight the administrative, socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of the peninsula from ancient times to the early 20th century.
