Free legal support provided to Sakhalin residents in the regional library

2 October 2019

Specialists of the Sakhalin Regional Universal Research Library held a campaign "Free legal support". The Association of Lawyers of Russia, the Agency for the Enforcement of the Judges of the Peace, and law students teamed up to assist residents of the region.

Specialists answered questions of interest to citizens, namely: refusal of a mortgage and a refund; limitation periods for the payment of transport tax; pension insurance; payment of alimony; social security for people with disabilities and many others related to civil, family and real estate law. In addition, free access to the reference legal systems ConsultantPlus and the Guarantor was provided to search for the necessary documents.

Sakhalin Region: Pages of History collection is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. It includes information on the development of Sakhalin Region - the only Russian region located entirely on the islands. The collection is presented in the form of travel essays, geographical and historical descriptions of the middle of the XIX – early XX centuries, as well as fragments of newsreels of 1929.
