Opening of the Days of Friendship-2019 took place at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator
On October 2, 2019, the opening ceremony of the Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation-2019 was held at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator. A photo exhibition “Chronicle of the Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation” was organized for the participants of the event.
The official part of the Days of Friendship began with the song “Russia and Mongolia are friends forever!”. Advisor to the Russian Embassy in Mongolia, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Mongolia, Amgalan Bazarkhandaev, congratulated those present on the beginning of the 59 Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation 2019 and invited to participate in numerous activities under the project. The guests of honor noted that the rich in content and wide in geography Days of Russian-Mongolian Friendship and Cooperation-2019 will contribute to further spiritual rapprochement of the peoples of Russia and Mongolia, and will create a favorable climate for deepening mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Presidential Library’s electronic collections have become an important resource for studying Russian culture in Mongolia: since 2015, its remote electronic reading room has been opened at the RCSC in Ulan Bator. The library contains various materials on the history and theory of the practice of Russian statehood. The special collection “Russia-Mongolia: the History of Relations” includes various studies, essays, archival and other materials which spotlight certain aspects of the life of Mongolia, the history of diplomatic, military and economic relations between Russia and Mongolia from the 13th-21st centuries.
