The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Chisinau celebrates 10th anniversary

A solemn event on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Russian Center of Science and Culture was held in Chisinau.

Numerous partners of the center were invited to the event, who are actively interacting with the center in the cultural, educational and scientific fields: leaders and activists of public organizations, universities, lyceums, representatives of the diplomatic corps, state authorities and creative intelligentsia.

The ceremony of awarding diplomas of Rossotrudnichestvo “For active work on the development of international humanitarian cooperation, for strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia and Moldova” was held in the course of the event. A number of the most active representatives of the field of education, science and culture, as well as organizations of Russian compatriots, were awarded honorary diplomas of the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Moldova “For Contribution to the Development of Humanitarian Cooperation with the Russian Federation”.

The Presidential Library is an important partner of the RCSC in Chisinau: a remote electronic reading room has been running since 2012. RCSC visitors get full access to the materials of the electronic collections of the Presidential Library and are available documents, medieval manuscript books, print publications, photographs, maps, modern scientific research on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood. Of particular interest are the statistical materials, studies, essays, archival documents and newsreels from the beginning of the 19th and the middle of the 20th centuries that are presented in Russia - Moldova: the History of Relations collection, which spotlight military history, geography, administrative-territorial division, the legal system and ethnography of Moldova - Bessarabia during its entry into the state common with Russia.
