Meeting of the Kazakh-Russian Intergovernmental Commission held in Nur-Sultan with the participation of Rossotrudnichestvo
The XXI meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on joint activities between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation took place in the capital of Kazakhstan with the participation of Rossotrudnichestvo. Representatives of the authorities of the two countries discussed issues of interaction in the field of trade and economic relations, in the field of education and science, culture, information technology, reviewed the development of interregional and cross-border cooperation.
“Two large friendly states with a huge border should cooperate”, - said Mikhail Bryukhanov, deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo.
“The meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission showed that with friendly mutual understanding there are no issues that cannot be resolved, on which it is impossible to find any normal workers who are satisfied with both sides of the decisions. That means the result of the activities of our agency”. Today, Rossotrudnichestvo is developing contacts with such institutions as the Otandastar Fund and Bolashak.
As a successful example of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, the agency’s representative cited the opening of the Kazakhstan national pavilion at VDNH, which could become a center of attraction for Russian-Kazakh cooperation in Moscow. The same national center is planned to open in St. Petersburg.
Mikhail Bryukhanov emphasized that Rossotrudnichestvo is in constant contact with colleagues from Kazakhstan and supports initiatives aimed at developing bilateral humanitarian dialogue.
The Presidential Library’s portal features Russia - Kazakhstan: the History of Relations collection. It includes statistical materials, studies, essays, archival documents, photographs and newsreels, materials on geography, ethnography, economics, cultural development and administrative-territorial division of Kazakhstan of the 15th - early 20th century, including the period of its entry into the common state with Russia.
