Students of the Faculty of History and Philology of the University of Penza learned about the Presidential Library

November 1, 2019 specialists of the regional center of access to resources of the Presidential Library at the Lermontov Regional Library, held a workshop for students of the historical and philological faculty of the Penza State University.

Future specialists were introduced to the multimedia lessons presented on the Presidential Library’s portal prlib.ru, provided through methodological tools on a multimedia basis. Such lessons make it possible to integrate the resources of a modern electronic library into the educational process. Many seminar participants tried their hand at the online testing “The ABC of the Young Voter”.

Specialists of the Penza Regional Center showed students the basic collections of the Presidential Library: Russian People, State Authority and The Council Code of 1649, and also introduced the books by I. F. Kuzmin “Penza Province” and A. S. Arkhangelsky's “Theater of pre-Petrine Rus".  

The participants of the event made a 3D tour of the hall of the Constitution of the Russian Federation in the Presidential Library. Further, the specialists of the Regional Center invited all those present at the video lecture and open lessons that were held by the Presidential Library via video-conferencing.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Penza Region: Pages of History collection. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials which spotlight the demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region from the late XVIII - the first third of the XX century, as well as the current Charter of Penza Region.
