The Presidential Library presented at the INFOTECH-2019 IT Forum

The Presidential Library’s resources and opportunities are presented at the XII Tyumen Digital Forum / Exhibition INFOTECH-2019, which was launched in Tyumen today, November 13, 2019, and will run for two days.

Information about the activities of the institution is available at a special stand, which displays information about the Presidential Library as a whole, as well as organized access to the institution’s Internet portal and electronic reading room. Some materials on the stand are devoted to the active work of the Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library in the region, in particular, the experience of using the resources of the Presidential Library in the educational process.

November 14, from 10:00 to 14:00, within the framework of the INFOTECH-2019 Forum / Exhibition will be held a workshop-meeting entitled “The Presidential Library - the first electronic national library of Russia: 10 years of development”. Experts, partners and colleagues of the institution from different regions: Sverdlovsk, Kurgan and Tyumen Regions, the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, as well as St. Petersburg will speak here. It is planned that about 300 specialists in the field of education and culture will become participants of the event.

So far the Presidential Library is a national electronic repository of digital copies of the most important documents on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood, the Russian language. In addition, the library is the largest multimedia multifunctional center with the status of the national library of Russia. Today, the Presidential Library contains more than 770 thousand electronic copies of books and periodicals, archival documents, audio and video recordings, photographs, educational films, abstracts of dissertations and other materials. Full access to the Presidential Library is organized through a network of remote access centers. More than 1000 electronic reading rooms are open in all 85 constituent entities of the Russian Federation and about 40 centers in 30 foreign countries.
