The Presidential Library’s resources presented for young residents of Sverdlovsk Region

The Innovative Cultural Center, located in Pervouralsk, Sverdlovsk Region, hosted a master class.

Thanks to the electronic collections of the Presidential Library, young participants of the workshop were able to see how the books in Old Slavonic looked like, tried to read lines from the book of Leo Tolstoy's “Alphabet”, Alexander Benois “The Alphabet in Pictures”, Peter I “Russian Civil Alphabet”. Then the guys tried to translate the Old Slavonic text into the modern language.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Sverdlovsk Region: Pages of History collection, which includes electronic copies of studies, essays and photographs of the 19th - early 20th centuries. The materials represent the geographical, demographic, socio-economic and socio-political aspects of the history of the region.
