School librarians of Kurgan Region learned about the Presidential Library

November 14, 2019 the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Research Library, within the framework of advanced training, hosted a presentation of the resources of the Presidential Library for librarians of regional schools. The courses were organized by the Institute for the Development of Education and Social Technologies. The specialists of the center for public access to information introduced the guests to the Internet portal of the Presidential Library, talked about the electronic reading room, revealed the collection principle of forming the collections and showed the technology for searching documents. Especially the event participants were interested in the regional collection Kurgan Region: Pages of History, which is also available on the Presidential Library’s portal.

The collection includes electronic copies of the 19th - early 21st centuries: studies, statistical essays, archival documents, photographs and cartographic materials which spotlight the administrative, socio-economic, geographical location of the Kurgan and Shadrinsk counties, the territory of which forms the basis of modern Kurgan Region.

After learning about the Presidential Library’s portal, everyone, having completed the reader’s registration form, received their personal login and password for working in the electronic reading room.
