Advanced training courses for teachers of the Russian language launched at the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia

Advanced training courses for teachers of the Russian language entitled “Russian Language and Culture: Modern Trends in Teaching Methods”, which were prepared by the Moscow State Pedagogical University, were launched in Bulgaria in 2019.

The opening ceremony was attended by officials Olga Shirokova, Acting Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Bulgaria, Stoyanka Pochekanska, State Expert of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as a greeting from the Rector of the Moscow State Pedagogical University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of RAO Alexei Lubkov.

The courses include training in the Russian language, a round table entitled "Actual problems of studying the Russian language as a foreign language in Bulgaria", the presentation of new books on Russian as a foreign language.

For further training, Russian scholars can use the electronic collection of the Presidential Library The Russian Language as additional source, which includes a variety of materials: manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian writing; archival affairs and scientific works, including theses and abstracts of dissertations; dictionaries and reference books, as well as study guides of various types and levels.

The materials of the collection are available at the centers of remote access to the information resources of the Presidential Library located in different countries of the world. Since 2017 one of these centers has been opened at the Russian Cultural and Information Center in Sofia.
