Centers of remote access of Chelyabinsk Region newly equipped

In 2018 the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library at the Chelyabinsk Regional Center of Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library developed the project “Presidential Library in the Southern Urals”. Its goal is to ensure equal access to the resources of the Presidential Library to residents of Chelyabinsk Region. One of the objectives of the project is to open one hundred centers of remote access in the libraries and educational institutions of the region.

The government of Chelyabinsk Region since 2019 began to equip the newly opened centers of remote access with the latest equipment. Already today, the first 34 objects received television and computer equipment. This will provide access to the richest resources of the Presidential Library even in the most remote settlements of the region and improve the quality of reader service.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History collection, which includes official and archival documents, studies, essays, statistical, visual, cartographic and other materials which spotlight the administrative structure, geographical location, demographic, economic, social and political and other aspects of the history of Chelyabinsk Region.
