The Russian language faculty of the University of Hanoi celebrated its anniversary

On November 17, 2019, an event was held at the University of Hanoi to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Russian language faculty. The celebration opened with a colorful concert performed by professional Vietnamese creative groups, as well as students and faculty of the Vietnamese University.

Speaking to those present, the rector of the university, Mr. Nguyen Wang Chao, spoke about the successes and results achieved by the Russian language faculty over the 60-year history of its existence, also noted the contribution of the University of Hanoi to the development and promotion of the Russian language in Vietnam, emphasizing the importance of preparing highly qualified Russian experts and translators to further develop and strengthen relations.

Among the guests of honor from the Vietnamese side there were university leaders, teachers of the Russian language, honored Russian scholars of Vietnam: Fam Kim Ninh, Wu The Hoi, Nguyen Ngok Hung, Le Duc Man, Le Van Liem and many others. On the Russian side - the head of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Hanoi N.V. Shafinskaya took part in the ceremony.

In her welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Vietnam K. V. Vnukova emphasized the significant contribution of the faculty to strengthening the position of the Russian language in Vietnam. The head of the Russian diplomatic mission noted with satisfaction the desire of the leadership to develop scientific research, introduce modern approaches to education and innovative methods in teaching and teaching the Russian language. K. V. Vnukova thanked the leadership of the University of Hanoi, the faculty and students of the faculty for their love of the Russian language, as well as for their great enthusiasm in spreading Russian culture in Vietnam.

In order to study the Russian language, faculty and students of the University of Hanoi have the opportunity to use the Russian Language electronic collection, which includes various materials: manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian writing, archival affairs, scientific works (theses and abstracts of dissertations), dictionaries and reference books, study guides of various types and levels. The materials of the collection are available at the centers of remote access to the information resources of the Presidential Library located in different countries of the world. Since 2018, one of such centers has been opened at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi.
