The 64th center of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library opened in Chelyabinsk Region

December 5, 2019 the family reading library № 9 in Starokamyshinsk held the grand opening of the 64th remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library based on the regional project “Presidential Library in the Southern Urals”.

In her welcoming speech, Elena Mikhailenko, Deputy Director of the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library, emphasized that thanks to the agreement, the residents of Starokamyshinsk had a unique opportunity to gain access to all national documents of a historical nature.

Now users of the remote electronic reading room of family reading library № 9 can receive information on the composition of information resources and access to all content of the Presidential Library, carry out online viewing of documents, set bookmarks to books and manage them from personal accounts.

64 remote access centers were opened in Chelyabinsk Region in 2018-2019 as part of the regional project “The Presidential Library in the South Urals”.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History collection. It includes digital copies of studies, essays, archival documents, statistical materials, photographs and sound recordings that spotlight the geographical, demographic, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region.
