Interactive lecture held at the Volgograd Regional Center

December 11, 2019 an interactive lecture “Information war against Russia” for students of the Sergeev Volgograd College of Water Transport was held at the Volgograd Regional Center of Information Resources of the Presidential Library.

A presentation of resources was held for students and an information video on the activities of the Presidential Library was shown before starting the event. Everyone were able to join the Presidential Library and get advice on the remote search for documents.

Viktor Stepanenko, Candidate of Historical Sciences, told the lecture participants about the features of Russian civilization, its cultural features, factors that influence its originality. Of particular interest was the story about the life and work of Prokudin-Gorsky, the discoveries of Alexander Popov, the role of Mstislav Keldysh in the development of astronautics, and the guys tried to figure out the goals and methods of the information war against Russia.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Volgograd Region: Pages of History collection. It contains studies, essays, memoirs, archival documents, official statistical collections and reviews, as well as journals of district zemstvo collections devoted to the history, archeology, economics, demography and military-administrative development of the territories of the XIII-XX centuries that are now part of Volgograd Region (the former Tsaritsyn and Kamyshin districts of the Saratov province).
