Multimedia lessons “History of the Russian Constitution in the Presidential Library’s materials” held in Tver

The multimedia lessons "History of the Russian Constitution in the Presidential Library’s materials" has become the main event at Gorky Tver Regional Research Library in December.

The first listeners were members of the Club of Young Voters, who regularly gather in the Gorky Tver Regional Library. Further meetings were held both at the site of the Tver Regional Center and in the educational organizations of the city.

In the classroom, children learn about the documents of constitutional content from different eras, which are presented in the Presidential Library’s collections, visit the Electronic Museum of Constitutional History of Russia, read and discuss the preamble of the current Basic Law, which is called the “constitution within the constitution” by its importance, and perform test tasks. All meetings take place in a lively dialogue.

The lessons were very popular, 260 schoolchildren and students from ten educational institutions of Tver have already become their participants. The marathon of historical and legal knowledge continues.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Tver Region: Pages of History collection. It includes archival documents, essays, studies, statistical materials, photographs from the beginning of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries which spotlight the demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects the history of this territory. The current Charter of Tver Region is also presented.
