“Short Film Day 2019” held in Tashkent

The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Tashkent, with the support of the Youth Center of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, the Russian Cultural Center, the CANON National Foundation for Support for Copyright Holders hosted the All-Russian campaign “Short Film Day 2019”.

The campaign is held this year for the sixth time from December 15-25. Participants were sites not only in the Russian Federation, but also in 20 countries of the world.

On the first day everyone watched the series of films “Documentary Cinema” - “Letpley”, “Break out. love story”, “Vika”.

In the following days, RCSC viewers will be presented with short films on the programs: “Family Cinema”, “Cinema of the Future”, “Unusual Stories”, film almanas “Happiness is... Part 2”.

The guests of the RCSC will also have opportunity to visit the portal of the Presidential Library, which presents a special collection dedicated to the Year of Cinema in Russia (2016). It includes official documents, studies, visual materials (posters, postcards, etc.) that spotlight various aspects of the development of domestic cinema from the beginning of the 20th century, as well as dedicated to individual films and actors of Russian and Soviet cinema. In addition, the institution’s portal presents the first feature films created in the Russian Empire, and modern documentaries of various subjects.

Only part of the materials of the electronic collections of the largest digital repository is available on the Presidential Library’s portal. The library’s information resources are available at remote access centers in different countries of the world. At the moment, the opportunity of opening a center of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library in Tashkent is being considered.
