The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator to support the initiative of the Mongolian side to expand the Russian-speaking space

At the end of December 2019, a working meeting between the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Mongolia Amgalan Bazarkhandaev and the representative of the Erdenet society of Mongolian-Russian friendship Mr. Batmagnayn Majinbuu was held at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator.

B. Majinbuu thanked the RCSC in Ulan Bator for hosting Friendship Days in Erdenet in November 2019, conveyed the wish of a number of schools to open a branch of the Russian Language Center at the RCSC and handed a letter to the governor of the Orkhon aimak D. Batlut with proposals for mutual cooperation to popularize the Russian language and cultures in aimak. According to Mr. B. Majinbuu in Erdenet, many schools have well-equipped Russian language classrooms, more than 30 Russian language teachers work and there is a great desire among school graduates to take Russian language courses for further study in Russian universities. He emphasized that the work of one branch of the Russian Language Center in the Orkhon Aimak on the basis of the Technological Institute in Erdenet is not enough.

The head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Mongolia, Amgalan Bazarkhandaev, in turn, congratulated Mr. Majinbuu on the upcoming New Year and thanked for the support, popularization of the Russian language and Russian culture in Erdenet, noting the need to continue cooperation in this direction.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on the full support of the Mongolian side on the part of the RCSC in Ulan Bator.

The Presidential Library’s electronic collections contain special collection Russian Language, which includes manuscripts and publications of monuments of Russian writing, archival affairs, scientific works (including dissertations and theses), dictionaries and reference books, study guides of various types and levels. In the public domain on the Internet portal of the Presidential Library only part of the materials from the electronic storage fund is presented. The library’s information resources are provided at the remote access centers in different countries of the world. Since 2015, one of these centers has been opened at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ulan Bator.
