The Presidential Library signed an agreement with the Institute for Regional Development of Samara Region

January 30, 2020 the Presidential Library entered into a cooperation agreement with the Institute for Regional Development of Samara Region. The event was held as part of the IV National Scientific and Methodological Conference "Architecture of University Education", which is held from January 30 to February 1 in St. Petersburg. The document was signed by the Director General of the Presidential Library Ilya Bykovnikov and Advisor to the Governor of Samara Region, Director General of the Institute for Regional Development Olga Mikheeva.

The agreement is focused on the joint promotion of institution projects using the site of the EngineFuture Scientific and Educational Center where the Regional Development Institute is the managing company.

The key areas of activity of the Samara REC providing a high degree of competence are the aerospace, transport, digital and cross-cutting medical industries, which become fundamental for the development of not only the region, but also the country and the world community.

The joint projects in the field of digitalization, including conducting advanced research, developing digital technologies, creating thematic digital content, organizing joint research and scientific-practical conferences, workshops, exhibitions in traditional and electronic formats, publishing, printing, audiovisual and multimedia products are planned to be implemented within the cooperation.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Samara Region: Pages of History collection. It includes various materials: studies, archival documents, photographs, postcards, maps and plans which spotlight the geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and cultural aspects of the history of Samara Region from the middle of the 19th to the middle of the 20th century. Among them are such rare editions as “The City of Samara” (1851), “When and Why the Cities of Ufa and Samara Were Founded?” (1872), “Tales and Legends of Samara Oblast” (1884), “Samara Reference Book dated 1890" (1889).
