Nizhny Novgorod State University of Engineering and Economics has become a new partner of the Presidential Library

The Presidential Library entered into a cooperation agreement with the Nizhny Novgorod State University of Engineering and Economics on January 31, 2020 during the IV National Scientific and Methodological Conference "Architecture of University Education".

The documents were signed by the library’s Director General Ilya Bykovnikov and the University rector Anatoly Shamin.

The agreement is focused on the formation of a single information space in the field of history, theory and practice of Russian statehood and the Russian language as the state language of the Russian Federation, as well as on strengthening in the public consciousness, especially among young people, the ideas of statehood, citizenship and patriotism.

Within the framework of cooperation, it is planned to provide teachers and students of the University with access to the rich collections of the Presidential Library, the free exchange of information resources, the organization of joint scientific and scientific conferences, workshops, courses and other events.

The Presidential Library features Nizhny Novgorod Region: Pages of History collection. It contains studies, essays, archival documents and other materials which spotlight the geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of Nizhny Novgorod Region of the period of the XVII - early XX centuries. The current Charter of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and its contents is now freely available on the Presidential Library’s portal.

Today, the Presidential Library has signed a cooperation agreement with more than 160 Russian universities. Remote electronic reading rooms are now open in federal universities, educational institutions of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, as well as the largest universities in our country.
