Kazakhstan hosted events dedicated to Pushkin’s Memorial Day
The grand opening of the exhibition “Alexander Pushkin. Portraits" was held at the Leo Tolstoy Kostanay Regional Library.
This project, timed to the Memorial Day of the Great Russian Poet, has been implemented by the Pushkin State Museum in Moscow and the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Kazakhstan with the support of the Embassy of Russia and the Russian community of Kostanai Region.
The opening ceremony was attended by the heads of regional and city authorities, public organizations, representatives of the creative intelligentsia, students, schoolchildren, and journalists.
In addition, the Presidential Library features Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837) collection, which contains digital copies of various materials: books, articles, archival documents, abstracts of dissertations, videos, visual media. The collection includes information not only about the life and work of Alexander Pushkin, but also about the activities of the state in preserving the heritage of the great poet.
These materials are available in the centers of remote access to the resources of the Presidential Library located in different countries of the world. In Kazakhstan, such an information source is opened at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Nur-Sultan.
