Residents of Chelyabinsk learned about Alexander Griboyedov’s oeuvre

In February 2020 the Chelyabinsk Regional Universal Research Library at the Chelyabinsk Regional Center of Access to the Resources of the Presidential Library hosted a video lecture “Knowledge of Russia” entitled “Alexander Griboyedov and the Present Time".

The event for the regional centers by the Presidential Library was broadcasted live via video-conferencing mode and on the institution’s Internet portal. Senior scientific researcher Dmitry Bogach approached the image of the heroes of the play “Woe from Wit” non-standard, focusing the project participants on the relevance of Griboyedov’s work as applied to modern reality. Listeners took a fresh look at the main characters of the comedy: Chatsky, Molchalin, Sofya.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Chelyabinsk Region: Pages of History collection. It includes official and archival documents, studies, essays, statistical, visual, cartographic and other means spotlighting the administrative structure, geographical location, demographic, economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of Chelyabinsk Region.
