Trans-Ural libraries, museums and archives build up joint digital collections

In March 2020 specialists of Trans-Ural libraries, museums and archives discussed the cultural heritage of Trans-Urals in digital space at the breakfast meeting held at the the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Research Library.

The guests of the library learned about the principles of forming digital collections of the Presidential Library, the main directions of its interaction with regional partners. Following the discussion, participants of the breakfast meeting agreed on a draft interagency cooperation agreement and on the creation of a working group to build up joint digital collections.

The Presidential Library’s portal features Kurgan Region: Pages of History collection, which includes studies, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic data and photographs of the 19th – early 21st centuries which spotlight the administrative, socio-economic, geographical location of Kurgan and Shadrinsk counties, as well as the current Charter of Kurgan Region.
