Omsk librarians present "#Rodnoy Geroy" virtual exhibition

The Pushkin Omsk State Regional Scientific Library opened the virtual exhibition "#Rodnoy Geroy", dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. On the eve of the anniversary year, bibliographers decided to tell readers about their loved ones, whose front-line exploits and valiant work in the rear brought Victory closer. Anyone can see the materials of the exhibition in the Omsk Bibliographers’ group on the VKontakte social network.

The Presidential Library’s portal features a large-scale electronic collection Memory of the Great Victory, which includes digital copies of official documents, photogrpahs and newsreels, wartime newspapers, memoirs of veterans and more than 24 thousand items.

The Presidential Library also built up the electronic collection Omsk Region: Pages of History. It includes studies, essays, reviews and reports, archival documents, visual media, audio and video materials which spotlight certain aspects of the socio-economic, socio-political and cultural development of Omsk Region from the period of the 18th to the second half of the 20th century.
