The Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library sums up the network marathon “From the Diary of My Family. 1941-1945”

In the Year of Memory and Glory, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, the Tambov Regional Center of the Presidential Library held a network marathon of audio and video essays “From the diary of my family. 1941-1945".

The aim of the project is to actualize the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War through the recollections of participants and witnesses of those tragic events, family archives. During the months of the marathon, dozens of video and audio recordings were received from Tambov and the districts of Tambov Region.

Unique information about the events of the Great Patriotic War is available in the collection of the Presidential Library “Memory of the Great Victory”, which includes digital copies of official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, memoirs of veterans and much more, more than 24 thousand items.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to the materials of the electronic collection “Tambov Region: Pages of History”. It contains studies, statistical materials and archival documents of the late XVIII - early XX centuries which spotlight the administrative, economic, demographic, educational and religious position of the Tambov province.
