As part of a project to promote the resources of the Presidential Library, employees of the Transbaikal Regional Center of Access to Resources of the Presidential Library prepared a story about the history of the creation of Dmitry Shostakovich Symphony No. 7, as well as about the first performances in 1942 in Kuibyshev, Moscow, Novosibirsk and in besieged Leningrad.
The Presidential Library’s portal features the electronic copy of the handwritten score of the Shostakovich symphony, the original of which is stored in the music library of the St. Petersburg Radio House.
