Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library presents "The Secret Materials" by Alexander Pushkin

6 June 2020

June 6, marking the birthday of the Great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, the specialists of the Sverdlovsk Regional Center of the Presidential Library invites everyone to remotely visit the virtual exhibition "The Secret Materials" by Alexander Pushkin.

This is a kind of “detective study” of archival documents, rare publications and visual materials, with the help of which you can study the poet’s handwriting in detail, admire classical and collection illustrations for his works, conduct a lexicological analysis of Alexander Sergeyevich’s speech and even give an answer to a seemingly simple question: what did he look like?

Video materials and full-text digital copies of various literary publications are also available for viewing online.

The Presidential Library’s portal provides access to the electronic collection “Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837)”, which contains digital copies of books, articles, archival documents, abstracts of dissertations, videos, visual and other materials illustrating the life and career of the poet. A large place in the collection is occupied by articles from pre-revolutionary periodicals, which allow one to see how the attitude towards Alexander Pushkin and his works has changed over time.
