RCSC in Tashkent and the Museum of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan discussed prospects for further cooperation
Meeting of Andrey Krasilnikov, acting head of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Tashkent and Musalim Nuriddinov, director of the Museum of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan was held on July 7, 2020. It was also attended by the deputy chairman of the Veteran Union of Veterans (Internationalists) of Uzbekistan Rustam Sultanov, a war veteran in Afghanistan Davlyatbek Sadulayev, and museum staff.
Issues of further interaction of the RCSC in Tashkent and the Museum of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan were discussed at the event; signing of the Memorandum on the free distribution of truthful information about the history of the Second World War and participation in the non-profit project “Images of War”; rendering assistance to mothers and widows of internationalist warriors, veterans of the war in Afghanistan and people with disabilities as part of the charity event RCSC “Kind Heart”.
A tour of the museum was organized for the meeting participants; they were shown the halls dedicated to the history of Uzbekistan, the Great Patriotic War, the Afghan War, as well as the exposition spotlighting the modern armed forces of Uzbekistan.
The Presidential Library’s portal features materials from the electronic collection "Russia - Uzbekistan: the History of Relations". The presented studies, essays, archival documents, postcards and photographs cover the geography, the history of the administrative structure, cultural and economic development of individual cities and regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, mainly during their stay in the Russian Empire.
Part of the collections of the Presidential Library is available on the institution’s portal as well as in remote electronic reading rooms located in many countries.
