Interactive exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky presented in Bishkek

The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Bishkek provides an interactive exhibition dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The exhibition, which includes visual materials from the collections of the Tchaikovsky State Memorial Musical Museum-Reserve, has been organized as part of the Cross Year between Russia and Kyrgyzstan.

“From century to century, from generation to generation, our love to Tchaikovsky, for his wonderful music, has been passing. This is immortality”, - this is how the great composer of the twentieth century D. D. Shostakovich wrote in 1965. Tchaikovsky made an enormous contribution to the development of Russian culture as a composer, conductor, popularizer of Russian music abroad, teacher, music journalist and public figure. The special electronic collection of the Presidential Library contains digital copies of Tchaikovsky's autographs, notes and photographs with his donative inscriptions, correspondence, books and articles about his life and work.

Only a part of the unique materials is presented on the Presidential Library’s portal which is available in the remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library located in different countries.
