Azerbaijan youth took part in the international project "North for Victory. Everyone for Peace"

Marking the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug–Yugra realizes the international project "North for Victory. Everyone for Peace", aimed at preserving the historical truth and the memory of World War II. The project was launched with the release of the corresponding portal.

On September 3, on the memorable day of the end of World War II, a meeting with representatives of the countries participating in the project was held via video conference.

The Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku hosted a conference of deputies of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Azerbaijan and representatives of the Youth Association of the Cossack Foreign Community in Azerbaijan.

The organizers of the videoconference presented little-known pages of history related to the contribution of the residents of the Ugra North, Russia and foreign countries to the Great Victory.

A Centre for Remote Access to Information Resources of the Presidential Library has been working at the Russian Information and Cultural Center in Baku since 2011. Guests of the Centre may explore materials of the electronic collections "Memory of the Great Victory" and "The Defence and Siege of Leningrad", which feature official documents, photo and newsreels, wartime newspapers, books, propaganda publications, collections of articles, biographies, evidence of war participants rear workers, private documents and much more.
