Webinar with librarians of the Sosnovoborsk district of Penza Region

On October 8, 2020, specialists of the Penza Regional Center of the Presidential Library at the Lermontov Penza Regional Library and the Center for Legal Information held a webinar "Effective use of electronic resources" for the library staff of the Sosnovoborsk district.

The purpose of the event is to train colleagues to use the resources of the Presidential Library and show the website prlib.ru. 

The librarians were introduced to the new collections of the Presidential Library. Thus, marking the 125th anniversary of Sergei Yesenin, a collection, which included digital copies of archival documents, books, periodicals, visual materials, video films has been formed.

The year 2020 was marked by the emergence and spread of a new epidemic in the world - the coronavirus, which not only affected the health of many people, but also significantly influenced public institutions and the global economy. Spotlighting these events, the Presidential Library has formed a collection "Prevention and Control of Epidemics in Russia", dedicated to the history of epidemics on Russian territory.

The participants of the webinar learned about a selection of collections dedicated to individual persons, topics, events and regions. Marking the 75th anniversary of the Victory, it was impossible not to mention the collections "Memory of the Great Victory" and "World War II in archival documents (collection of digitized archival documents, film and photo materials)".

At the end of the webinar, the colleagues were told about "Russia in the Electronic World" Olympiad which is held annually by the Presidential Library for senior pupils.
