Photo exhibition "Football Unites" opened in Ankara

On October 11, 2020, the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Ankara hosted the opening of the Football Unites photo exhibition, timed to coincide with the football match between the national teams of Russia and Turkey within the UEFA Nations League and organized as part of the cycle of events of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office dedicated to the relations between countries.

The photo exhibition has been prepared by the Rossotrudnichestvo office based on the materials provided by the TASS and Anadolu news agencies, and includes 38 photographs from the meetings of the national teams of the two countries.

The event was attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Turkey, the Trade Representation of Russia, the Rostec Corporation, the media, and the Turkish public.

Since 2014, a center of remote access to information resources of the Presidential Library has been opened at the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Ankara.

Guests of the center can familiarize themselves with the materials of the electronic collection "Sport in Russia", which contains official documents, archival, reference and visual materials spotlighting the history of the development of sports in our country. A separate section dedicated to football has been formed for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. It includes both historical and contemporary materials. In particular, there are widespread photographs showing the construction of stadiums in Russian cities that hosted the matches of the world championship.
