Friendship video bridge linked Helsinki and St. Petersburg

Promoting the development of Russian-Finnish dialogue in the spheres of culture, science and education was discussed at an online meeting of the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Finland Pyotr Yakhmenev, Secretary General of the Finland-Russia Society Niina Sinkko and Director of the Institute of Finland in St. Petersburg Sani Kontula-Webb...

The interlocutors agreed to work together to promote projects aimed at strengthening Russian-Finnish humanitarian cooperation, and discussed specific proposals for their implementation.

The Presidential Library’s portal features electronic collection "Russia - Finland: the history of relationship". It includes studies, official and archival documents, cartographic and visual materials revealing the geographical, economic and legal position of Finland from ancient times to the beginning of the twentieth century, most of the period of joining the Russian Empire as the Grand Duchy of Finland, as well as materials spotlighting the current state of relations between our countries. The documents of the national electronic repository are available in full in the centers of remote access to the information resources of the Presidential Library located in various countries of the world.

At the moment, the exhibition "Russia - Finland: Marking the 100th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Contacts" is open in the Presidential Library. By the end of 2020, a virtual tour of the exposition will be presented on the institution's portal, which will be available to everyone interested in the history of relations between the two countries.
