The presentation of the excursion "Along the routes of Rodion Raskolnikov" held in Kurgan

The Kurgan regional center of the Presidential Library at the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library hosted a presentation of a video tour of St. Petersburg of the heroes of the novel "Crime and Punishment", timed to coincide with the 199th anniversary of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky. 

The excursion curator Rina Mogutova told the participants of the event about the sources that served as the basis for the video. Among them is the series "Crime and Punishment" (2007) and illustrations by domestic and foreign graphic artists.

Sources from the collections of the regional library and open Internet sources, access to which is carried out through QR codes, will help to expand the understanding of this topic.

The Presidential Library’s collections contain a large number of various materials dedicated to the work of Fyodor Dostoevsky. Thus, for example, the institution’s portal provides the video lecture of Konstantin Barsht ""Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky: a creative history in drawings and manuscripts", a collection of critical and biographical articles "Fyodor Dostoevsky: Life and Career” and other sources.

The Presidential Library’s portal also presents the collection "Kurgan Region: Pages of History", which includes studies, statistical essays, archival documents, cartographic data and photographs of the 19th - early 21st centuries, spotlighting the administrative, socio-economic, geographical position of the Kurgan and Shadrinsky districts, the territory of which forms the basis of the modern region.
