Online exhibition "A century of diplomatic relations between Russia and Finland" opened in Helsinki

The Russian Center of Science and Culture in Helsinki, together with the St. Petersburg Vedomosti Publishing House, have prepared an online exhibition of archival materials marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Finland. The initiative to hold it was supported by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Finland.

The online exhibition opened with greetings from the organizers and guests of honor.

The Presidential Library’s portal features electronic collection "Russia - Finland: the history of relations", which includes research, official and archival documents, cartographic and visual means. It covers the geographical, economic and legal position of Finland from ancient times to the beginning of the twentieth century, most of the period of joining the Russian Empire as the Grand Duchy of Finland, as well as documentary evidence reflecting the current state of relations between our countries.

The documents of the national electronic repository are available in full in the centers of remote access to the information resources of the Presidential Library located in various countries of the world.

Today, the exhibition "Russia - Finland: marking the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic contacts" is available in the Presidential Library. The institution’s portal presents a virtual tour of the exposition, which will be available to all those interested in the history of relations between Russia and Finland.
