International scientific and practical conference "Suvorov Readings" held in Belarus

With the support of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Brest the Suvorov Kobrin Military History Museum hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Suvorov Readings" dedicated to the 290th anniversary of the birth of the commander.

The event has been attended by representatives of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus and the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Brest, representatives of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Brest and the Kobrin District Executive Committee, representatives of the republican public association “Russian Society” and the museum administration.

Museum workers, historians, political scientists, scientists, teachers, delegates of public associations and clergy; students from Belarus, Russia, Moldova, Bulgaria made reports on the life and career of Alexander Vasilyevich.

As a result of the conference, it is planned to publish the collection "Suvorov Readings", which will include, among other things, the results of modern scientific research related to the name of Alexander Suvorov.

A center of remote access to information resources of the Presidential Library has been opened at the RCSC in Brest since 2015. Guests of the center who are interested in the life of Suvorov are able to learn about the materials of the electronic collection, which contains digital copies of research, popular science publications, collections of documents and visual materials about the great Russian commander.
