Presidential Library’s resources foster the educational process in Penza

December 17, 2020 employees of the regional center of access to the resources of the Presidential Library at the M. Yu. Lermontov Regional Library held a webinar for teachers of the secondary school No. 56 named after Hero of Russia, pilot-cosmonaut of the Russian Federation A. M. Samokutyaev.

The teachers were introduced to the Presidential Library’s portal, its collections and interactive projects. In particular, they learned about the collection dedicated to Alexander Suvorov, and a virtual tour of the exhibition 1939. Outbreak of World War II, which highlights the events that led to the largest world conflict of the 20th century.

The teachers were also told about the Olympiad Russia in the Electronic World, which is held annually by the Presidential Library for senior pupils. They were also recommended ready-made multimedia lessons on history and literature.

The Presidential Library’s portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials that spotlight the demographic, geographical, socio-economic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the region at the end of the 18th - first third of the 20th century.
